Another Konami classic!! Life Force aka Salamander was released on the NES in North America in 1988. It was another in a long line of hits for Konami and one of my childhood favorites.

This video will feature Stage 5, The Temple Stage. Yes we died a ton on this level. After the first part of the stage where you capture your power ups it gets pretty intense. Asteroids and bouncing balls come at you from all angels. Takes some patience and some know how to get through the level. Being on top of the screen is advantageous in areas, especially the middle of the stage. You will come across tubes that shoot out enemy ships. Also red ships that fire balls out at you will be a nuisance. After finally surviving this and more you finally make it to the end boss. King Tut looking head comes out. Avoiding his circle and missiles will allow you to shoot his eye and finally take him down. Off to Stage 6 and then end of the game.

Mini Review
I still think this game is good. I loved this and Gradius (and most everything Konami came out with) for their fast paced gameplay, great graphics, fun score, etc. These games fit in nicely with your collection and I still enjoy playing them. They are certainly worth another play through on your hacked NES Classic or your favorite emulator.
